Over the weekend I had a little celebration for the impending arrival of Baby Schulz, my very own Baby Shower. All week I was thinking, I cannot believe I’m attending my very own Baby Shower. It seems at times I am still in disbelief that I am pregnant and having a Baby. Yes, even 32 weeks later I am pinching myself; it is just so surreal!
Around two months prior, I met with my best friends including my sis to plan out my dream Baby Shower. I dreamt of whites, greenery and touches of metallics as our colour palette. Neutral, clean and intimate. At first, we struggled to find a venue until the perfect one popped up at CHA Tea at the 4217 Precinct in Surfers Paradise.
Once we had a date, the venue and the colour scheme laid out the rest was up to my beautiful friends and they did an amazing job. I am very fortunate to have all of them! With their powers combined I’m pretty sure they could take over the planet, the thought of it scares me but for now they bossed my Baby Shower.
My sister Jesse is a creative genius/ graphic designer extraordinaire. If you don’t believe me please see pictures below. She went above and beyond for me and her niece/nephew and it all came together so beautifully.
I’ve included all links to all the amazing businesses we worked with at the bottom of the page.
Oh Baby Predictions
These little pieces were a great ice breaker for my guests. My closest girlfriends predicted the gender, name, date of arrival and weight. I loved the little ‘CrossFit Babes Miami’ weight plate as a personal touch. There was a space at the bottom of these cards for a message to our Baby. When I got home I read them with Clayton and they bought tears to my eyes.
As we aren’t finding out the gender it was interesting to know that around 80% of my girlfriends think Baby Schulz will be a BOY! Hmmm.. we will see!
Cake & Party Favours
The love our Baby received on Saturday from some of my closest friends is something I’ll never forget. I am often stuck for words when trying to express my gratitude for my family and friends, but I did apologise in advance for the times Coconut spews, poo’s and wee’s on anyone. Myself, Clayton and Coconut are so lucky to be surrounded by amazing people who are always there to support, love, listen and advise. We can’t thank you enough for your gifts, your time and words of encouragement. I love each of you so much!
