In the lead up to the Gold Coast Marathon I have been sourcing the beats that will get me to that finish line!

In 2012 I ran my first Half Marathon (21.1km)! Running has been something that I’ve always enjoy, its a chance I get in my busy schedule to do nothing but reflect and sometimes brainstorm! Its always a goal of mine to keep running in my training program, as its like downtime or therapy for me. So after my first half marathon I decided that it would be a promise to myself every year to complete a half marathon. This would encourage me to train for it therefore sticking to my goal to maintain running.

So true to my promise I am signed up to my third Half Marathon on the 6 July 2014. It takes the average person approximately two hours to complete a half marathon, so what to do during all that training time? Listen to some awesome, motivating beats! Ive written up my favourite playlist which I keep updated especially in the lead up to these events! Please note: these songs are totes appropriate for your WOD life as well! Ive broken the playlist into three categories to really set the tone! Warm Up: Cruisy tunes that get you excited for your run! 3-2-1-RUN!: Self explanatory! Music that makes you put one foot in front of the other and GO! Cool Down: Time to stretch and rollout! Music that makes you happy and sets the tone for your day or evening!

    Actually in everyday life I do not listen to them but for running, they’re just perfect 🙂
